God Showed Me AGAIN

As some of you know, when I started my business I committed to giving part of the proceeds from any sales or other income source to a charity to help those in need. I can’t recall now if I told everyone how much that would be, but I decided to treat it like a tithe and do 10%.

Between Easter and about a week ago, $130 was raised from fruitcake sales, my POD store and cash donations. As of yesterday morning, I was still sitting on it because I hadn’t felt called to any particular person or charity yet. I had a visitation to attend in Pekin yesterday and before I left, I prayed that while I was out God would show me where He wanted the donations to go and I grabbed the envelope of cash and stuck it in my purse. A few blocks before my turn for the funeral home, I happened to look to my left and noticed something I had never seen before. Next to The Hope Chest thrift store, there was a Hope Chest food pantry with people sitting outside like they were waiting to go in. I don’t know how long the food pantry had been there – almost every time I go into Pekin to visit family I stop in that plaza to go to the Dollar Tree. I knew the thrift store was there as I’ve visited it before, but somehow I had missed the pantry. I knew right away where the donations were going.

God answered my prayer by showing me the food pantry that I had never noticed before. I stopped there on my way out of Pekin. Well, I didn’t actually go into the pantry because their doors weren’t open yet, so I went into the thrift store. The manager was very appreciative! At first she thought I said we (yes, WE – you guys were instrumental in this!) were donating $30 but then when she realized it was $130 her jaw practically dropped. That is all thanks to people like YOU who purchased fruitcakes knowing that some of the proceeds would help people in need (and some of you even gave extra (in those cases, the entire extra amount went in with the donations)!

Hopefully there will be many more testimonials to come! Actually, I’m certain there will be. God’s got this. Another specifically answered prayer from God Almighty!
